solitaire: my life
before i entered college i had a lot of free time on my hands, and since most of my friends were busy studying for their engineering exams i had nothing to do, so i spent day and night sitting watching tv, playing on my ps2, watching movies and moslty playing solitaire on my laptop.. i was hooked to it. i must have played on an average 240 games per day...
as i played and played i started to notice how this stupid card game on my stupid computer resembled my life so much, and this is y...
1)u have to make choices in solitaire: and so too in life, its the choices u make that define who you are who u who are going to be in the future, i fu make the right choices from the beginning u have a better chance of succeding than if u dont
2)crtl z: for those more technologically inept than me crtl z, stands for undo, jus like in solitaire if u think uve erred than u can always crtl z and go back and make the right move, sure we dont have time machines to do over our lives i wish we did, but life sure does give u second chances, u cannot undo what u have done but u sure can work at correcting your mistakes, u dont only get a secong third or a limited no. of chances, jus like in solitaire u have unlimited undos u have a zillion chances to do over ur mistakes u jus have to recoginze ur chances...
3) no more moves: if u play solitaire as carelessly as i do then sooner or later u end up with a msg saying no more moves, u can either undo and try again or u can give up, in solitaire i usually take the easier route and quit and start a new game but in life so far i haven come across a "no more moves sign", but there are some people who "quit", which is sad coz the fourth point id like to make is restart the same game...
4) restart this same game: life sure doesn have a restart button or i defn wud have pressed it atleast twice in my entire life, but then i like to think of each game of solitaire like a chapter in my life, only when one chapter has ended does the next one begin, its a personal perspective, each chpter can be a day a week a month a year differeing from person to person, for me my chapters have been of various lenghts, a 4 yr long chapter has jus come to an end :(
5)jus when u think everything is going right and ur about to finish the game suddenly the queen of hears goes missing, u jus cant find her, and u think u need the queen of hearts to complete the game, and the search for the queen of hearts is so intense tht everything else uve done so far goes for a toss, u dont pay attention to the game, but only in ur quest to find the quen of hearts, but jus like in solitaire u will eventually find the queen of hearts as u keep playing the game u too willl encouinter the queen of ur hearts as u continue living ur life, u shud focus noton finding the queen of hearts but rather in playing the game.
6)as u keep playing more and more cards are opened and the game becomes clearer to you, similarly the more u live the more u experience things, make choices, take decisions ur life begins to unfold, it becomes clear.
5)u always win : this last part is kind of like the culmination of all the others, in each and every game f solitaire u naturally have to win, if a win was not possible then y would the developers added the game? i dont think the developers in microsoft are so sadistic that they would like u to pull ur hair out at n unwinable game (althou i have encountered a few), in the same way "god" whicheevr one u believe him, lets call him the "creator" for convenience sake dint put u here on earth so that u could lose, each and every one of us has a purpose, whatever it may be, and each of us can win, it all depends on the choices we make, the strenght we have to keep hackn at the same chapter till we get it right. and remember "the creator" is not sadistic either, so we can all win.
